After an amazing time at EduCon in Philadelphia this past weekend, we headed to Columbus for Prototype. Prototype is a program that I have co-developed. Today was the first of three days of our first design camp, it has been an truly wonderful experience so far. More thoughts to come in the future weeks, but the students are so creative, smart, and passionate and remarkable to work with.
This 3-day Design Camp, taking place in the center of a state-wide conference focusing on the evolution of educational technology, explores various ways that we can re-design for the future of learning.
Real-world problems will be presented to the students by conference attendees, global partners, and virtually participants via a range of digital platforms. Student teams will ultimately select problems that they feel they can offer an innovative solution to (within the time constraints of the camp) before presenting to a professional jury on the final day.
