  • I am so excited and grateful to be in Greensboro, Alabama, for the next two weeks to participate in a COMMON meets Project M project. Today I met the other 5 young creative people that have also been accepted into the program. Above are photos of where we are staying at the bunkhouse.

Project M is an intiative that I have been following for the past several years. It was started by John Bielenberg and is based on Thinking Wrong and doing good. Here’s an excerpt from their website.

We just want to change the world.

We are part of a design movement. We believe that ability equals responsibility. And we are not the only ones. So, we built a lab where designers like you can make a difference. We are building the tools that will build the future. And this is where you come in.

COMMON is a new creative community for rapidly prototyping new social ventures. Here’s more information from them.

COMMON is about making something. To be more specific, COMMON is about connecting people together and harnessing the power of true, rule-breaking creativity to launch socially beneficial businesses. Businesses that are designed to spread love and prosperity to all stakeholders.

We believe the tired old concept of competitive advantage must give way to a more meaningful system of collaborative advantage. Our mission is to give creative people a chance to design and prototype the new capitalism.
